Hi, my name is Darlene Parsons.  I am a graduate from Wilmington College in Ohio.   We moved to North Carolina and love the people and weather here.  My husband is a minister at Archdale Friends Meeting in Archdale.  We have 3 grown children who are married, and we LOVE reading to our grandchildren.  I have been teaching at Franklinville since 2008-2009 school year.  I have also taught Kindergarten and Reading at Level Cross and taught First, Third and Reading in Ohio.  Some of my hobbies are gardening, canning or freezing the produce, traveling in the summer and of course reading.  I am so happy to be a reading teacher at Franklinville.  I love to read, and help students learn to read and understand what they have read.  Keep going to the library, listening to your child read and you show them you enjoy reading too.  Words are everywhere, the road signs, recipes, books, and magazines.  You can contact me at dparsons@randolph.k12.nc.us
