Bio
Hello! My name is Johnny Reeder, and I am the music teacher for Franklinville and Liberty Elementary Schools. I am honored to serve at two wonderful schools, and I enjoy seeing the smiling faces of my students as they learn about the wonderful world of music. Here are a few things about me:
I have been married to my wife Tina (a Reading Specialist at Franklinville Elementary) for almost 29 years.
We have 2 sons. Jared, our oldest, is a Junior at Gardner-Webb University. Our youngest son, David, is a 10th Grade student at Faith Christian School.
We attend Eastside Baptist Church in Asheboro, NC. My wife and I have led the music at our church for almost 26 years. We love serving with our family and with our church family there!
We have a dog (Skittles) and 1 cat (Butterscotch).
I have taught music in some form since I was 14 years old. I started my teaching career by teaching drums and percussion at 14. I started teaching guitar at 15. I have taught privately and at Evans Music Center in Asheboro, NC.
We are serious UNC Tar heel fans! Go Heels!
Two of my favorite places are Southport and Oak Island, NC. I've been going there since I was a baby.
Things I enjoy: spending time with my family, practicing guitar, drums, and piano, and reading. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and going to the beach.
