If you have a child who will turn 5 on or before August 31, 2025, please make plans to attend our Kindergarten registration on Tuesday, March 11 from 5:00-7:00 PM. This is a floating event and will allow families to meet school staff, learn more about our school, and complete necessary paperwork. Please bring your driver’s license or picture ID, a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate, a current immunization record, a current utility bill or lease agreement, and any applicable custody papers.
There is still a lot of sickness going around. Please remember if your child is sick, they need to stay out until they are 24 hours symptom free without fever reducing medication.

Si tiene un hijo que cumplirá 5 años el 31 de agosto de 2025 o antes, haga planes para asistir a nuestra inscripción para el jardín de infantes el martes 11 de marzo de 5:00 a 7:00 p. m. Este es un evento flotante y permitirá que las familias conozcan al personal de la escuela, aprendan más sobre nuestra escuela y completen la documentación necesaria. Traiga su licencia de conducir o identificación con fotografía, una copia certificada del certificado de nacimiento de su hijo, un registro de vacunación actual, una factura de servicios públicos actual o un contrato de alquiler y cualquier documento de custodia correspondiente.

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday! Every year, all around the country people celebrate his birthday with Read Across America Week. This year we will be doing fun dress up days every day as well as 20 minutes of drop everything and read as a school! Please see the visual about what dress up days are for next week! Participation is totally optional but we would love for the students to join us in celebrating Read Across America Week!
*Please note we made a small switch in the schedule of the dress up days. Please notice the switch on Wednesday and Thursday.*

Cada año, en todo el país la gente celebra su cumpleaños con la Semana de la Lectura en América. ¡Este año haremos días divertidos de disfraces todos los días, así como 20 minutos para dejar todo y leer como escuela! ¡Vea la imagen a continuación sobre qué días de disfraces serán para la próxima semana! ¡La participación es totalmente opcional, pero nos encantaría que los estudiantes se unieran a nosotros para celebrar la Semana de Lectura en América!

The Randolph County School System will operate on our regular schedule tomorrow (Friday, 2/21/25).

February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and the Randolph County School System wants to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Career and Technical Education staff, including Career Development Coordinators and Central Services support staff. These dedicated individuals work tirelessly to prepare our students for the workforce and provide them with valuable opportunities to explore a wide variety of career paths. Through their efforts, they not only teach and mentor but also actively collaborate with community leaders, local businesses, and industry partners to ensure our students' success.

RCSS will be operating on a 3-hour delay tomorrow, 1/24/25.
Due to the weather issues, the first day of the 2nd semester will now be the first day that the students return to school. A decision has not been made about tomorrow 1/24/25. When a decision is made, a call will go out and we will post on all websites and social media.
