RCSS School Nutrition Services prepares approximately 6,500 breakfast and 10,000 lunch meals for students each school day. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback about our breakfast and lunch menus from parents, teachers, and staff. We will use this feedback to update our menus in order to enhance the school meal experience for our students. The early release day on Friday, December 20 will mark the beginning of our Winter break. Students will return to school on January 2.


Each year, the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium honors "Signature Schools." Selected from 18 districts throughout our region, these are schools that have exemplified excellence and experienced significant improvement in the last twelve months. Today we celebrated these accomplishments at the annual Signature Schools Award Breakfast held on the campus of UNCG. Congratulations to Franklinville Elementary School and Wheatmore High School on being selected as a Signature School for RCSS for the 2024-2025 school year!

Due to the inclement weather and road conditions, all schools will be closed today (12/3/24). As a result of this decision, today (12/3/24) will become an optional teacher workday.


The Randolph County School System's Career and Technical Education Department held its third annual "From Classroom to Career" event on Friday, November 22, at Journey Church in Asheboro. This Career Expo, designed as part of the college and career pathway, specifically targets high school juniors. With nearly 50 industry partners and various branches of the armed forces present, students had the opportunity to engage with employers and explore the wide range of career opportunities available within the 16 career clusters.










Winter weather is just around the corner. On the RCSS Inclement Weather Video, Superintendent Gainey gives an overview of the steps taken by the school district when inclement weather strikes.
