Tomorrow (1/26/26) is not a remote learning day for the RCSS. Tomorrow (1/26/26) will be our first day missed which is a built in weather day. We will not use the remote packets unless we use all five built in days. In the event we need to use a remote day, Dr. Gainey will state that on the alert call he sends out. Remote packets were sent home Friday (1/23/26) in the event we use all five days this week and need to start remote days next week.

Our 5th Grade students enjoyed a visit from Meteorologist Alex Schneider (@alexschneiderwx) today. The students learned about her background in meterology and she even taught them the tools she uses to predict the weather. Thank you to Ms. Schneider for taking time out of her busy schedule to spend the afternoon with our 5th graders. Here's to hoping for a little snow!

Congratulations to our January recipients of the Star Staff and Star3 Student Awards. We are so proud to have Charles W. and Mrs. Powell represent Franklinville Elementary School!

Attention parents of a rising Kindergartener! Mark your calendar for the 2026-2027 RCSS Kindergarten Registration!

The third-grade students had an exciting and educational field trip to the Millis Health Center in High Point. During their visit, they conducted a hands-on experiment to learn how the digestive system works, helping them understand how food moves through the body and provides energy. The students also participated in a variety of engaging activities that taught them how the human body moves, protects vital organs, and supports itself through bones and muscles. The trip was a fun and memorable way for students to explore how their bodies work while learning through real-life experiences.
